Margareth Beimark
I started in 1990 to bring joy through my art. My motifs are humorous, often happy, chubby trolls. I was then living in southern France, but moved back to Jämtland, Sweden in 2000. On TV, radio and in newspapers I saw reports of children and women being abused. To raise awareness of this I started to make works inspired by real events reported by public media. Every work is based on a real story, and is shown with a descriptive text. These works have been on display several times. On one occasion, swedish television company TV4 were prosecuted for child pornography after having showed these works. In 2002 I was nominated for the equality award by tne newspaper "Östersunds Posten".
Now, I want more people to be able to take part of these sensitive topics that hurt so many women and children. So I have created this website, so that more people can dare to see what is happening all around us.
